WELCOME HOME BOYS!!

check out our new "crib"
Hey I remember you!
Tiny!!!!!!!!!

WELCOME HOME BOYS
London and Judson are both Home now.
London came home on Thursday the 8th
Judson came home on Saturday the 10th.
They are both doing great with their feedings, they each take 60 ml every 4 hours, which is about two ounces every 4 hours.  To give you an idea of their intake, it equals the same amount of liquid that is in a standard coke can.

FEEDING SCHEDULE
2am
6am
10am
2pm
6pm
10pm

BABY NAPS
In-between  feedings they sleep anywhere from 2-3 hours.  Currently they sleep together in a pack-n-play crib in our room.  They seem to be doing great so I'm sure they will advance to a crib in their room in a couple of months.

VISITORS
Today we had an action packed day of visitors:  Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and even a soon to be cousin, Kenleigh.

FAMILY TIME
Sunday and Monday Holly and I have decided to take it easy and get use to the boys being home and get them on a schedule at the house.   Probably by the middle of next week we will start letting extended family come and visit.   Our doctors have advised us against opening the flood gates for a while since it is cold and flu season and premature babies take a little while to develop an immune system.

THANKS
All that Holly and I can say is thanks to God, our family, our church family, friends, prayer warriors, Dr. Rehburg the staff at Sylacauga OBGYN, the staff at Coosa Valley Medical Center, all of the staff at St. Vincents Medical Center and a special thanks to Angela, Dawn, Jamie, Lindsey, Mary and Peyton even-though you cheated on us with babies in other pods.  All of the nurses in the NICU are great but you ladies have been elected by God to that position for the love that you show people in need.
thanks again,
  Eric, Holly, London and Judson

1-6-09 Update

London
weight: 4lbs 14oz

Judson
weight: 4lbs 3oz

Both boys are doing great and they will be getting nipped this afternoon. Holly and I will be traveling to Birmingham tonight to stay overnight in a family room with the boys. The status as of right now is still that London will come home and Judson will stay until Saturday. We are praying for divine intervention that will allow Judson to get to the point that he could come home on the same day. But it is all in God's hands now.

Jeremiah 29:11
(Young's Literal Translation)
For I have known the thoughts that I am thinking towards you -- an affirmation of Jehovah; thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give to you posterity and hope.

(American Standard Version)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.

Mathew 10:30
(Young's literal translation)
and of you -- even the hairs of the head are all numbered;

Coming Home Soon!!!!!

As many of you know we are so glad that our boys haven't had any major complications. We are so thankful of that and all glory goes to God, the great physician. God is in the final stages of preparing these boys to come home.

We found out Sunday morning at about 1:00 pm that our boys are coming home.
London will be able to come home on Thursday January 8th.
Judson will be able to come home on Saturday January 10th.

This is an exciting time for Holly and I but I'm sure it will be overwhelming as well. We ask for everyone to continue praying for us through this time and be patient with us. The birth of two boys into a family or community is exciting for everyone and we know that everyone can't wait to meet London and Judson. At the same time Holly and I are asking for a couple days so that we can enjoy the boys. It is very important to us considering there are family members who haven't even seen the boys yet. Again we thank you for your patients and understanding.

Thanks again,

Eric and Holly

1-1-2009 UPDATE

London
4 lbs 4.8 oz

Judson
3 lbs 14.3 oz

Holly
-  My beautiful wife Holly is a real fighter.   She has had struggles with blood pressure and a lack of ability to eat.   Both of these struggles are temporary, we can already see God removing these hurdles.  London, Judson and I are very glad that Holly was willing to sacrifice comfort in her life so that our lives could be better.  Hopefully soon we will get the reward of holding these boys in our home.
